Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment solutions designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, introduces ElectroPuls, an innovative electrodynamic test instrument ideal for a wide range of biomedical testing requirements.

The state-of-the-art ElectroPuls systems are ideally suited for biomedical test laboratories in industry and universities. With a wide dynamic performance range and excellent low force characteristics, the ElectroPuls systems enable a myriad of mechanical tests to be conducted.

From evaluating the tensile strength of sutures to durability testing of fracture fixation devices, the ElectroPuls systems provide a single superior testing platform. The ElectroPuls systems are non-hydraulic, air-cooled and use a single phase electrical supply, so may be placed virtually anywhere.

Two different system capacities are available, the E1000 (1000 N) and E3000 (3000 N). Both models have been designed to meet the demands of laboratories that require hassle-free installation, high performance, robustness and flexibility in their testing systems.

The instruments incorporate user-orientated features: an innovative tuning wizard to ensure achievement of critical loads, a T-slot table for flexible test setups and electrically operated crosshead lifts.
