ACUSON S1000

Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is the first hospital in the UK to install the new ACUSON S1000™ diagnostic ultrasound system from Siemens Healthcare. The ACUSON S1000 is one of the latest additions to the Siemens ultrasound portfolio and is a versatile cost-effective imaging solution. Located in the Imaging Department, the two new systems at Liverpool Women’s Hospital are handling a mixed imaging workload including lower limb, obstetric, gynaecological, as well as general imaging.
The ACUSON S1000 is a flexible ultrasound system capable of handling a variety of patient types and disciplines. Equipped with a suite of transducers that can perform up to 27 different examination types, it is suitable for a range of imaging needs. The system also features contrast-enhanced and elasticity imaging ultrasound capabilities and can be used for intracardiac echocardiography using the ACUSON AcuNav™ catheter.
“We selected the two new ACUSON S1000 ultrasound systems from Siemens Healthcare as we were impressed with the high specification, image quality and ergonomic features,” stated Colin Diment, Clinical Lead for Imaging at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. “No other manufacturer has provided a technical presentation to us using our actual patients’ images as Siemens did – it proved an excellent opportunity to show the system’s capabilities in a genuine clinical capacity.”
