Central Medical Supplies invests in AXifeed baby feeding products

Promotional feature

Central Medical Supplies (CMS) is investing in its AXifeed brand, to further improve the supply chain offering and level of service to customers.

The AXifeed range includes expressed breastmilk (EBM) storage bottles, cup feeders and breast pump sets for use with the Kitett FISIO hospital-grade pumps.

A major supplier of neonatal and maternity products, CMS has invested in new dedicated machinery to manufacture its AXifeed bottles.

The investment made by CMS has increased the multi-site capability to manufacture and sterilise the AXifeed products. This greater production capacity will ensure CMS can keep up with growing sales, provide greater manufacturing flexibility and a quicker response time to customers’ short-term demands.

AXifeed EBM storage bottles are the safest bottles for EBM and special feeds. The AXifeed bottle and cap range is the only truly tamper-evident system, providing clear verification that feeds are safeguarded from accidental or deliberate contamination.

The AXifeed bottles support risk management procedures for both milk banks and neonatal units. All AXifeed products are supplied sterilised and meet the requirements of ISO 11137.

When AXifeed bottles are used in conjunction with the Kitett breast pump, any risk of potential bacterial contamination or cross contamination is eliminated, due to the pump’s one way suction flow technology.

Whether used for delivering a mother’s own milk, donor milk or special feeds, AXifeed bottles ensure the highest level of protection for newborn, premature and sick babies.

Healthcare professionals can purchase AXifeed products directly from CMS or via the National Health Service (NHS) supply chain.
