My Expert Midwife announces partnership with the PANDAS Foundation

My Expert Midwife, the a company offering skincare brands for pregnancy, birth, new mums and new-borns, are proud to partner with the PANDAS Foundation, a charity which provides advice and support to pregnant women and parents suffering with perinatal mental illness.

My Expert Midwife is committed to tackling the taboos and myths surrounding pregnancy and being a new mum. They believe that every woman should feel comfortable talking about how they feel and have the right support in place, so they can feel like them again. That’s why, to aid the incredible support that PANDAS provide, My Expert Midwife have pledged to raise up to £10,000 for the charity over the next 12 months.

To reach this target, My Expert Midwife are encouraging women to share a photo on social media using the hashtag #MyExpertMidwifeXPandas, telling their motherhood story and what helped them to feel like themselves again during pregnancy, birth, or motherhood. For every photo shared, My Expert Midwife will donate £1 to the PANDAS Foundation.

As part of this initiative, My Expert Midwife will also donate £1 to the PANDAS Foundation from every sale of their best-selling Mum-to-be Collection gift set, which contains a selection of award-winning products developed to relieve the physical symptoms and side effects experienced during pregnancy and childbirth.

Co-Founder of My Expert Midwife and qualified midwife Lesley Gilchrist says, “At My Expert Midwife our number one priority is looking after Mum. We are on a mission to build a community to support and empower new and expectant Mums, and so are delighted to partner with the PANDAS Foundation, which offers hope and empathy to parents and their networks who are facing challenges with perinatal mental health.

“We hope that by encouraging women to open up and share their personal experiences, we can come together to tackle the taboos surrounding pregnancy and the early stages of motherhood, while raising funds to aid the vital work of the PANDAS Foundation.”

Annie Belasco, Head of Charity at the PANDAS Foundation says, “We are delighted to be working with My Expert Midwife on this campaign. We believe it will be educational and empowering for parents everywhere. By sharing lived experiences this not only helps reduce stigma around mental health but also encourages others to seek very much needed support.

“We look forward to seeing participants creativity within the share a photo social media activity.”
