Elitone, a non-invasive, innovative pelvic health product, will be accessible through the NHS nationwide, signalling major progress for women’s health in the UK.
12 million women in the UK experience urinary incontinence, costing the NHS almost £2bn every year.
Elidah, a US medical health company, has secured a partnership with the NHS to provide Trusts throughout the UK with Elitone, a non-invasive, innovative solution for pelvic health and incontinence.
Through HealthTrust Europe, a public sector procurement partner, the NHS has approved Elitone as a supplier for pelvic healthcare, signalling a major moment for women’s health in the UK.
From 1st March 2025, Elitone has been made available across 217 Trusts in the UK, offering a home delivery service of the products to help women who suffer with stress urinary incontinence, alongside a prescription service. The easy-to-use device will be available for healthcare professionals to access through the HealthTrust Europe Continence Goods and Services 2024 framework, which can also be located on the nationwide framework platform – Framespan.
Elitone is a solution that doesn’t involve exercises, invasive vaginal insertion treatment or surgery. Certified for use in Europe, the product is FDA-cleared in the USA, doctor-backed and helping tens of thousands of women who suffer with stress or mixed urinary incontinence to regain bladder control and confidence with life enhancing results in as little as six weeks.
In the UK, a staggering 42% of women reportedly suffer from bladder incontinence, although this figure is believed to be even higher, as many feel too ashamed to seek help or don’t realise they can do something about it. It’s reported that the average woman spends £600 every year on incontinence solutions while the NHS spends £1.8 billion a year on incontinence care for patients.
This significant partnership means that Elitone’s products are now available to healthcare organisations through an established, trusted procurement route, to help the millions of women experiencing the issue.
Already available through healthcare funds in the US, it’s the first time Elitone has supplied the NHS and comes three months after the product launched in the UK market following a successful rollout in the US.
Gloria Kolb, Co-Founder and CEO of Elitone, says: “Our research into this issue has shown that women are often embarrassed to talk about incontinence, or worse, just accept it. This shouldn’t be the case. We understand that women want an easy, non-invasive and highly effective solution and this opportunity allows us to support women and the NHS in providing accessible, high-quality care.”
The partnership is a significant development for women’s health and demonstrates Elitone’s commitment to improving access to revolutionary continence and pelvic health products. With a strong focus on patient care and dignity, Elitone’s offerings are designed to empower individuals, improve long-term outcomes and support healthcare providers in delivering the highest standards of service.
Sabrina Jagpal, Sourcing Specialist HealthTrust Europe, says: “Incontinence is often under-reported due to stigma and lack of accessible solutions. Adding more support for incontinence into our framework enables us to ensure that women have greater access to innovative, effective, non-invasive care options.
“Elitone utilises state-of-the-art technology to provide a leap forward in women’s pelvic health care. The product is also reusable, and whilst it does come with disposable GelPads, even these can be reused up to five times, aligning with the NHS’ sustainability goals.
“This is an important step forward in improving quality of life, dignity, and health outcomes for millions of women, and reflects our commitment to delivering best-in-class solutions that meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers and patients alike.”
