Two ACUSON Antares ultrasound systems have been installed at Maidstone Hospital, complementing the hospital’s existing suite of Siemens’ systems.
One Antares is used predominantly for Obstetric and Gynaecology examinations and the second Antares is used for all general imaging, ranging from paediatric and vascular, to abdominal and interventional ultrasound. Maidstone Hospital plans to develop a new Oncology service using the latest contrast imaging software on the Antares.
Commenting on Siemens’ support, Gwen Fletcher, Supt Radiographer said: “We enjoy a longstanding relationship with Siemens and have great confidence in their equipment, particularly with regard to ergonomics and image quality.
