The Pain Care 2000 system provides patient controlled infusion of a local anaesthetic directly into the wound site with just the push of a button.
At the end of the procedure, a catheter is placed in the surgical site and connected to the controller. This controller is later handed to the patient who can then press the button when he needs.
Each depression of the button dispenses 4cc of non-narcotic pain reliever directly into the surgical site. Approximately 12 doses are available from the 50cc reservoir.
It is also available with a lockout feature delaying refill of the syringe time to 30 minutes (Pain Care 2000L), which prevents repetitive depressions to cause an over-dosage of anaesthetic.
If needed, a Y-accessory Kit is available to allow medication to reach two sites for improved pain relief.
