Fujifilm is a pioneer in diagnostic imaging and information systems for healthcare facilities, with a range of constantly evolving, clinically proven, products and technologies designed to assist medical professionals perform efficiently and effectively.
In order to communicate the positive experiences Fujifilm’s customers have when using their equipment, the company is publishing a series of customer-endorsed case studies. The first is now available, and describes the experiences of Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which houses one of the 105 breast screening units throughout the UK that participate in NHS Breast Screening Programmes.
To assist the Breast Unit at Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Fujifilm have installed:
- A 24x30cm FDR AMULET full-field digital mammography system at London Road Community Hospital, with an additional 18x24cm AMULET soon to be installed.
- An FCR Capsula, at the Royal Derby Hospital, which provides very cost effective digital images of biopsy specimens.
- FCR PROFECTS, installed on-board Derby’s two mobile breast screening units, completing the Trusts fully digital breast screening service.
The colourful case study details how the Fujifilm equipment facilitates the work of the Trust, and how the Service Manager for the Breast Unit finds the equipment “fast, clinically effective, comfortable and easy to use.”
